Continuity of Service
Applied Occupational Therapy (AOT) is ensuring that the safety and health of our clients and staff is of the highest priority in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are adhering to and keeping up to date with the latest announcements and advice from the Australian Government to provide occupational therapy services to our clients. We will continue to provide occupational therapy services to our clients to ensure continuity of care and support during this challenging and uncertain time.

Applied Occupational Therapy (AOT) is able to:
- Offer support for our client’s functional capacity over this period
- Offer new assessments for suitable clients
- Keep our clients and staff safe while providing services
- Use established telehealth capacity for all suitable therapy
- Provide face to face sessions in line with social distancing and Government advice, including essential face to face during lock downs.
- Assist clients with set up of suitable telecommunication systems
Where appropriate, services will be continued via face to face adhering to government standards of infection control, social distancing and per the individual, residential care facility/home and/or families wishes. A phone consultation to assess the risk of attending an individual face to face will be undertaken. AOT are providing and recommending the option for Telehealth practice using a phone, tablet device or computer for service delivery. At AOT, we will work with you to provide continuity of services and flexibly to provide the best model of service delivery, to suit your needs. At this time staff members and clients who show any flu symptoms are to remain at home until all symptoms are cleared. Staff members are to inform clients if they are being tested or diagnosed with COVID-19.
